The word “Asia-Pacific” needs a checklist. GigSky lists Thailand in its broader plan coverage, but included countries and prices can change. Open the live plan, compare every stop, and do not buy a regional plan because it sounds cleverer.

That is good news for most tourist routes. But do not turn it into a “works perfectly everywhere” claim. Islands, ferries, mountain roads, small rooms with concrete walls and peak festival crowds can all affect actual signal. The sensible setup has an offline backup: download your next hotel/map/ferry details while on Wi-Fi, particularly before leaving an urban base.
Setup: do this before the flight

Sunset photos, diving clips and drone video are fun; they are also big. Use the hotel Wi-Fi for cloud backup and large posts. Your mobile data is more valuable for getting you to the next place.
Be thoughtful with hotspot
